What distinguishes Courtland Homes from other builders is that we are also a land development company. We carefully plan how our neighborhoods will look and feel over time. You want a home that will maintain its appearance, and this is our goal.

Main Street Residences is within a mile of downtown City of Fairfax. It is close enough to the immediate resources of the city such to include restaurants, entertainment, retail, recreation, and culture. We are different in that our community can benefit from a location proximate to George Mason University; however, we are not immediately impacted by its activity. All of the rich cultural offerings of downtown Fairfax's most dynamic neighborhood at your doorstep, from expansive parks, museums, and excellent dining.

Courtland Homes values the land plan design as much as the architectural design. Main Street Residences has brick walkways, motor courts, gas street lamps, stone walls, and a quiet park space in a natural setting with bench seating for residents. When we develop a property, we want to preserve as many mature trees as possible. The final phase of townhomes that we are now selling are adjacent to a buffered open space with mature trees. In the past, Courtland Homes has received the Tree Preservation Award from Fairfax County.

Our homes are made entirely of brick and fieldstone. Our exterior patio areas are also made of brick. We do not compromise aesthetic by introducing other exterior materials to cut costs. At the same time, we feel that brick and stone materials maintain their beauty and charm into the future and they also do not require the regular maintenance that substitute products require. Main Street Residences is reminiscent of Georgetown or Old Town Alexandria where homes built in the 1800's demonstrate a timeless and classic sophistication over time.

Main Street Residences has received numerous Great American Living Awards; this is the most prestigious building award for the metropolitan area. Our community has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the best places to live in the City of Fairfax and we have appeared in publications such as Home & Design Magazine. Courtland Homes has also been saved to thousands of ideabooks on the Houzz.com website. Lastly, we recommend that homebuyers talk to the City of Fairfax home inspectors as well as our current residents about the quality of our homes and the standard that we set for the City of Fairfax.

"We have recently moved in to Yorktown ct. We moved down here from NY. We are extremely happy with our purchase. The home itself is excellent and suits our family very well. Just as important as the good craftsmanship and nice appearance, was our location. It has worked out great for my wife's commute as well as trips into DC, winery's, and parks. It's also great for walking our dog. It's also conveniently located for shopping, dining out and all other amenities. Our neighbors have been wonderful. We love it here and couldn't be happier."
